Edward Ray Gill, 83, of Clarksville, TN, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, surrounded by his loving wife, son, and family.

Ray was born on August 14, 1934, in Montgomery County, TN to the late Samuel Gill and Fannie Williams Gill. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Allen; brothers, Robert Gill and Pugh Williams; and sister, Polly Rittenberry.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Danny Eads officiating. Burial will be at Tatum-Coleman Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, September 9, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Ray was retired from Schultz Mobile Homes. He was a member of Kenwood Baptist Church.

Ray is survived by his wife, Joann Whitehead Gill of Clarksville, TN; son, Gregory Ray Gill of Clarksville, TN; son-in-law, Bill Allen of Clarksville, TN; sister, Sally Rittenberry of Clarksville, TN; and special friends, Gloria Guthrie and Roxanne Downs.

Pallbearers will be Danny Champagne, Joey Wichers, Jeff Wichers, Jay Chedville, Lee Chedville, Brice Chedville, Billy Allen, and Brian Bonanno.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kenwood Baptist Church Building Fund, 992 Peachers Mill Road, Clarksville, TN 37042.
