Elaine Tucker Ellis, entered the gates of Heaven on July 3rd, 2017. She was born in Palmyra, TN and lived in Clarksville, TN.

Elaine was born on June 23rd of 1924, the daughter of L.P. Hayes and Hattie Wickham Hayes.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.B. Tucker; second husband, Carrol Ray Ellis; brother, Mack Hayes; three sisters, Ouieda Black Grant, Atha Bumpus Johnson, and Marcie Bryant; and son, Wendell Dwight Tucker.

She is survived by her son, John Bryce Tucker of Clarksville, TN; two granddaughters, Elaine (Mitch) Rogers of Denver, CO and Lynne Tucker VanBuul of Monroe, GA; grandson, Michael Tucker of Nashville, TN; four great grandchildren, Kristiaan Johannes VanBuul, Madeleine Rose VanBuul, William Alexander VanBuul, and Morgan VanBuul (Brian) McClure; and four great-great grandchildren, Mila Rogers, Bryson McClure, Anneke McClure, and Vincent McClure.

Elaine had many talents, which included being able to play any musical instrument that she picked up. She was an artist and began oil painting at the age of 60. She could cook like a chef and look like a star. She will be missed and can never be replaced.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2017, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, July 7, 2017, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Williams, Jeffery Williams, Larry Ellis, Keith Wilson, and Mike Wilson. Honorary pallbearer will be David Ballou.

A special thanks is extended to The Waterford at Sango, especially Manager Juanita, Kim, Velma, and Sonya for all the love and help you gave Mama. You were her Earth angels.
