Emmett Wayne Mosley, Sr., age 81, of Burns, TN, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Horizon Medical Center, in Dickson. 

Emmett was born August 23, 1936, in Hopkinsville, KY, to the late Emmett Merriman and Henrietta Hancock Mosley. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ann Gafford. 
Mr. Mosley was a member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, October 26, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Kevin Roberson officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Groves of Lebanon. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, October 26, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Emmett is survived by his wife, Carlene Bellamy Mosley; son, Dr. E. Wayne (Jennifer) Mosley, Jr.; brother, Sam (Pollyanna) Mosley; two sisters, Sandra Gregory and Margaret Louria; and four grandchildren, Joseph, Anna, Mathew, and Eva Mosley. 

Pallbearers will be Stewart Gafford, Jeffery Shelton, Kenneth Shelton, Dwight Shelton, Dwayne Shelton, and Joseph Mosley.
