Gary Wilson Turman, 65, of Clarksville, TN passed away on November 7, 2017.

Celebration of Life will be held at 2134 Old Ashland City Rd, Clarksville, TN on November 18, 2017 from 2pm to 4pm. The planting of a tree in his memory will be done at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made to AAE in his memory are appreciated.

Gary Wilson Turman was born to Alfred & Bessie Turman on February 9, 1952 in Corona, CA. He went to school in Norco, CA where he graduated from Norco High School in 1970. He married Katie Hathaway on March 1, 1975 in Riverside, CA. He graduated from Austin Peay State University. He has worked as a Teacher for The Academy of Academic Excellence for the past 11 years. He retired from the Air Force after 20 plus years of service and was awarded NCO Professional Military Education Ribbon, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.Rifle, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of Guthrie Baptist Church.

Gary is preceded in death by father Alfred C. Turman, mother Bessie Maud Turman and step-mother Sadie Mae Turman.

Gary is survived by wife Katie, daughter Nancy, son-in-law Tim and grandsons Max and Sam of Moreno Valley, CA; son Alan of Clarksville, TN; daughter Jamie and son in law Jonathan of Chandler, AZ; brother Wayne and sister-in-law Mary; current wife Pat of Guthrie, KY.

The family of Gary Turman wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at Tennova Hospital ICU, Signature Health Care staff and his AAE Family, all of Clarksville TN.
