Joel Eugene Thomas, age 60, of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017, in Harvey, LA. 

Joel was born January 25, 1957, in Vineland, NJ, to David (Joan) Thomas and Ni Gillette Thomas. He was a Tech Director at Austin Peay State University and a retired US Army veteran, having served 22 years. Mr. Thomas was a member of First Presbyterian Church. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, November 19, at 2:00 PM, at First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Greg Glover officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 19, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service, at the church. 

In addition to his parents, Joel is survived by his wife of 26 years, Liz Brown Thomas; and two brothers, Tim (Susan) Thomas of Indianapolis, IN and Art (Sue) Thomas of Orlando, FL. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Memorial Fund, c/o First Presbyterian Church, 213 Main Street, Clarksville, TN 37040; or to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
