Joseph "Joe" John Miller, age 82, of Cumberland Furnace, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Signature Healthcare of Clarksville.

Joe was born July 26, 1934, in Cumberland Furnace, TN, to the late Lee Miller and Nora Trotter Miller. He was also preceded in death by nine siblings, Wayne Miller, Ray Miller, Enloe Miller, Alline Miller Payne, Annie Miller Blackwell, Vernon Miller, William "W.G." Miller, Jeff Miller, and Dorothy Miller Work.

Joe was retired from Trane Company, after 28 and a half years of service. He was a school teacher for five years, a farmer, and worked with scrap metal at Cunningham Salvage Company. Mr. Miller was a member of Marion United Methodist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 9, at 4:00 PM, at Marion United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Mackens and Rev. Tom Wise officiating. Burial will follow at Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, and Sunday, July 9, from 2:00 PM until the hour of service, at the church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Patricia Miller; two sons, Jerry Miller of Cumberland Furnace, TN and Randall Burkhardt of Topeka, KS; three daughters, JoAnn Rader of Cunningham, TN, Janis Emery of Cumberland Furnace, TN, and Kristine Noland of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Mary Chaffe Corpacius of Cumberland Furnace, TN; ten grandchildren, Brandon Rader, Brian Rader, John Emery, Sara Emery, Brad Miller, Allison Miller-Kilburn, Shawn Burkhardt, Corey Burkhardt, Randi Burkhardt, and Annemarie Noland; and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Rader, Brian Rader, John Emery, Brad Miller, Shawn Burkhardt, Corey Burkhardt, and Ray Miller.
