Joyce Edlarose Sand Bellenger, 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, at her residence.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, February 23, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. B.J. Brack officiating. Burial will be at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday, February 23, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Joyce was born March 2, 1934, in Oak Park, IL. She is preceded in death by parents, Eric and Eleanor Jochens Sand and brother, Robert Sand.

Joyce graduated from Austin High in Chicago, IL in 1952 and Illinois Masonic Hospital School of Nursing in 1955, where she met the love of her life, Jim and they would eventually travel the world together. They would even be able to take a cruise with their children and grandchildren for their 50th wedding anniversary.

She achieved Life Master of Bridge in 1991 and she loved playing cards with friends and family especially Pinochle. Jim and Joyce were part of several bridge groups throughout the years.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Dr. James Bellenger; a son, Keith (Tammy) Bellenger of Clarksville; three daughters, Kathleen (Brad) Powell of Yorktown, VA, Michelle (Keith) Kaufman of Smyrna, TN, and Maria (Ginger) Bellenger of Richmond, TX; six grandchildren; three nieces; and one nephew.

Pallbearers will include her grandchildren, Kristen Powell Reebel, Jaime Kaufman, Rob Bellenger, Brian Kaufman, SP4 Shawn Powell, and Rachel Bellenger. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Kimbrough, Harold Vann, John Richardson, Joe Builder, and Dawson Durrett.
