Linda Weakley McWhorter, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare. 

Linda was born April 5, 1932, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Thomas Weakley and Myrtle Williams Weakley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William McWhorter; and one sister, Susan Elliott. 

Mrs. McWhorter was a member of Macedonia Presbyterian Church. She retired from Sears, after more than 25 years of service. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 4, at 1:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Douglas Weakley officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and Sunday, February 4, from 12:00 PM until the time of service, at the funeral home. 

Linda is survived by five children, Lynn (Dan) Welsh, William Maurice McWhorter, Jr., Tommy (Shirley) McWhorter, Steven (Michelle) McWhorter, and Carolyn McWhorter; brother, Donald Weakley; sister, Judith Weakley; four grandchildren, Winter Hobock, Spencer Welsh, Caroline Welsh, and Ethan McWhorter; and one great grandchild, Harper Hobock. 

Pallbearers will be Bill McWhorter, Steve McWhorter, Tommy McWhorter, Dan Welsh, Spencer Welsh, and Sasha Pavlovich.
