Mary Knight Bowles, 83, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at St. Thomas West in Nashville, TN.

Mary was born on October 6, 1934, in Stewart County, TN to the late Clinton Wilson and Effie Lee Norfleet Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Reed Knight and brother, George Wilson.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Pastor Timothy Shane Knight officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 6, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Mary was owner of Drapery, Linens, and Gifts. She worked for Bootster Manufacturing and Mason Hughes for many years.

Mary is survived by two sons, Tony Knight (Eloisa) and Gary Reed Knight of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Jane McGregor of Clarksville, TN and Ella Byrd (William) of Houston, TX; four grandchildren, Mathew Knight, Jared Neal Knight, Taylor Knight, and Whittney Knight; and three great-grandchildren, Arianna Knight, Hayden Crocker, and Hudson Crocker.

Pallbearers will be Mathew Knight, Keith McGregor, Eric McGregor, Blake Atkins, Danny Holder, and John Grimes. Honorary pallbearer will be Jared Neal Knight.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Salvation Army, 210 Kraft Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
