Ted E Porter

Ted E. Porter, age 86, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at The Veterans Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Ted was born in Canton, OH to the late John E. Porter and Doris M. Haendle.

Ted is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Erika K. Porter; son, Eric K. (June Adams) Porter; daughters, Babette P. (Scott) Spellmeyer; Yvette M. (Wally) Reimold; Tanya P. (Joseph) Oliver; sister Kathy (John) Moore; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

After his Honorable retirement from the 101st 13 Inf. Armored Battalion, Ted pursued his education at APSU where he obtained his Masters in History with a Minor in German. Ted continued to serve his community as an educator with DODEA at Ft. Campbell, retiring in 2004.

A memorial service will be held in Ted’s honor on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
