Tracy Forest Wooten Jr, age 91, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at his home, surrounded by family.
 
Tracy was born in Clarksville, TN on April 29, 1926, to the late Tracy F. Wooten Sr. and Mattie Dodd Wooten.
 
Tracy loved the Lord and was a longtime member of St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed the preaching, teaching and the many hugs and handshakes received from members.
 
Tracy served in the US Army from 1945 – 47, stationed in Germany. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he specialized in electronics with focus on aviation simulators. He was a dedicated employee and received numerous “Achievement Awards” during his tenure at Fort Campbell.  Tracy was driven to support his family with a very strong work ethic throughout his career that he instilled in his children and grandchildren.
    
Tracy had a tremendous love for his family. He was such a dedicated husband, father and brother to his seven siblings. He loved his Tennessee Volunteers and Tennessee Titans football. He was always making people laugh with his humor and quick wit.

Survivors include daughter, Carolyn Wooten Loeffler (Mike) of Clarksville,TN; son, Tracy David Wooten (Lynn) of Charlotte NC; sisters, Francis Clark, Geneva Jenkins and Helen Vanzant; brother, Wendell Wooten; grandchildren, Frank Wood (Terryl), Nicki Bell (Tim), Scott Wood (Michelle), Cal Wooten (Ariel), Laura Wooten James (Brian), Reid Wooten and Trace Wooten; great grandchildren Carson Wood, Lindie Porter, Josh Weaks (Gabrielle), Adalyn Wooten, Molly James and great great granddaughters Braelee Weaks and Harper Porter.

In addition to his parents, Tracy was preceded by his sweet wife, Irene McLeod Wooten; daughter, Linda JoAnn Wooten; brothers, Hershel Gold Wooten, Buddy Wooten and sisters, Barbara Jackson, Lucy Mitchell; brother-in-laws, Tommy Jenkins and Robert Clark and sister-in-law, Diane McLeod Wooten.

The family would like to thank AseraCare’s Nancy and Mandy for their outstanding service and friendship during Tracy’s care.

A celebration of Tracy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 26th at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Richard Wesley officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 26 from 12:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.

Family members will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that condolences be made in honor of Tracy to the St. Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 2201 Old Russellville Pike, Clarksville, TN 37040.
