Wallace "Wally" Stanford Crain, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Tennessee State Veterans Home. 

Wally was born August 2, 1933, in Thomaston, AL, to the late Paul Crain and Fannie Mae Hinson Crain. 

Wally was a retired Lieutenant Colonel with the US Army. He was a referee for TSSAA football and a past president of the Kiwanis Club. 

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, December 22, at 10:00 AM, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, where full military honors will be rendered. Visitation will be Thursday, December 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. 

Wally is survived by his wife, Margie Johnson Crain; two sons, William Forrest (Maureen) Crain of Virginia, and Wallace Stanford (Anita) Crain, Jr. of California; two daughters, Frances Leigh (Tom) Ayers of Illinois, and Harriett Elizabeth Marshall of Tennessee; stepson, Mike (Jean) Harrison; stepdaughter, Michelle (Taylor) Reily; sister, Kit Parker of Alabama; and sixteen grandchildren, Jared, Adam, Corbin, Ashley, Christopher, Marcus, Patti, William, Cameron, Jessica, Ryan, Jenna, Ryan, Turner, Sam, and Kendall.
