Wayne L. Berg, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017, peacefully in his home.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Wylie Berg; his two daughters, Vicki (Coy) Sanders and Connie (Mike) Gibbs; his two granddaughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Boyd and Jacqueline (Justin) Adams; his two great-grandsons, Seth Gipson and Caiden Boyd; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Wayne graduated from Greensburg High and continued his education at Akron University, before joining the Navy. He went to work as an engineer for Diebold and retired in 1996.

Wayne loved people and he knew no strangers, however nothing was more important to him than his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Gertrude Berg; his son, Gary Berg; as well as his four siblings.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel, with Rev. Garrette Milliken officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017.
