Anne Elizabeth (Adkins) Langford

Anne Elizabeth Langford, age 88 of Clarksville passed away March 26, 2021 at Tennova Healthcare.

Anne was born January 5, 1933 in Clarksville, TN to the late Herbert L. Adkins and Lucille Smith Adkins. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Langford; daughter, Elizabeth “Betsey” Langford Morris and son-in-law Roger Morris; brother, Herbert L. Adkins Jr.; sisters: Margaret Adkins, Mary Francis Adkins, Evelyn Adkins and brother-in-law, Maurice Clark.  She is survived by her daughter, Linda Langford (Greg) Troupe; sister, Jeane Adkins Clark and sister-in-law, Ghoram Adkins; grandchildren: David Gregory Troupe, Lee Thomas Troupe, John Morris, Nicholas Morris; great grandchildren: Ira Troupe, Wyatt Morris, Makayla Morris, Ezra Troupe, Luke Morris and Bryce Hall.

Anne was a 1951 graduate of Clarksville High School and a member of Hilldale United Methodist Church. She worked at the First National Bank for 10 years and left to be a homemaker. She loved sewing, canning and gardening.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Family will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be from Anne’s Sunday school class, The Founders.
