Arlene "Pat" (Patterson) Rogers

Arlene "Pat" Patterson Rogers, age 88, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018, at Clarksville Nursing and Rehabilitation. 

She was born October 28, 1930 in the Rock Springs community of Cheatham County, daughter of the late Millard F. Patterson and Idell Nicholson Patterson. 

Arlene, better known as "Pat", was the owner of Moss's & Rogers' Cafe on College Street from 1947 until she sold the business and retired in January 1990.

She was a devoted Christian and a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville. She belonged to the Plebean Sunday School Class under the teachings of Mrs. Lib Laida.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dehronda Rogers Watson; husband, William Thomas Hutton; husband, Winfield Rogers; brother, Wallace F. Patterson; and two sisters, Maloy Burker and Jurietta Patterson. 

Arlene is survived by two sons, Anthony Winfield "Tony" Rogers and Patterson Dwayne "Cricket" (Bea) Rogers; two daughters, Jennifer Hutton (Glenn) Hodges and Marilynn Rogers Watson; two granddaughters, Michelle Hodges and Chasidy Batey (Ed) Sullivan; two grandsons, Frederick "Freddy" Persinger III and Preston Winfield Rogers; and great grandson, Darin Leigh Sullivan. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, November 8, at 6:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, from 4:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund, c/o First Baptist Church of Clarksville, 435 Madison Street, Clarksville, TN 37040.
