Barbara (Adkins) Matthews

Barbara Adkins Matthews, age 95, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at Spring Meadows Healthcare Center.

Barbara was born December 7, 1923, in Norfolk, VA, to the late Grover Cleavland Adkins and Ethel Darnell Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Donald Matthews; her daughter, Donna Gayle Rogers; and four brothers.

No service is planned, and her remains are to be cremated.

Mrs. Matthews is survived by her son, Roy (Kimberly) Matthews of Clarksville; sister, Margaret (Louis) Keheley; five nieces, Jo Adkins Shelby, Ann Adkins Smith, Shelley Balauch, Emily Keheley, and Paula Keheley; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Childen, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of AseraCare Hospice and Spring Meadows Healthcare Center.
