Bob Ray Davis, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Tennova Healthcare. 

Bob was born June 17, 1946, in Harriman, TN, to the late Ivan Davis and Lolita Morgan Davis. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ryan Glenn; and two brothers, Gary Davis and Jack Davis. 

Bob retired as Deputy Chief of Police for the Clarksville Police Department, after serving over 40 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Clarksville. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 4, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Felts Dent, Rev. Cal Hampton, and Dr. Ted Denny officiating. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 3, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and Monday, December 4, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Rhonda Wortham Davis; two sons, Bobby Davis and Brad Davis; daughter, Faith Glenn (Scotty) Mendenhall; three grandchildren, Barrett Mendenhall, Teddy Mendenhall, and Daniel Davis; sister-in-law, Sherri (Alan) Morgan; and niece, Kelbi Morrow. 

Pallbearers will be Geno Grubbs, Scotty Mendenhall, Alan Morgan, Doug Pectol, Larry Vaden, Bobby Davis, Brad Davis, and Daniel Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be those serving in the Clarksville Police Department and members of the Ray Stone Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1818 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203.
