With deepest regret, Brenda Gayle Keffer passed on Friday, August 4, 2017. 

She was born September 11, 1961, to parents James and Patricia Keffer. 

Brenda left behind her loving spouse and partner, Louise Loring Kent. Their 17-year relationship was filled with joy and laughter. Brenda loved her family with all of her heart and is survived by her sister, Jeannie Barnes of Suffolk, VA; brothers, James (Mike) Keffer of Knotts Island, NC and Ronald (Ronnie) Keffer of Waterloo, IA; nephew, Christopher Barnes; stepmother, Shelby Keffer of Portsmouth, VA; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

Brenda loved life and the friends she made along the way. She never hesitated to offer assistance to anyone who needed a hand. Her passion for others was emulated during her career at Dillard's, where she made many life-long friends. She had a passion for animals and loved the outdoors. She was a skilled gardener, loved to whittle, and enjoyed building and repairing things. She was a generous soul in all ways. Her kind words and warm hugs will be sorely missed. She was a jewel that can never be replaced. Please pray for her family during this difficult time.
