Bruce Crain McKinzie, age 65, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare Hospital.

Bruce was born January 10, 1953, in Hazlehurst, MS, to the late Wheeler Crain and Maxine McKinzie. He joined the military at an early age and retired from the United States Army on July 31, 1994 after honorably serving 20 years. He was also a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Pastor Kent Holz officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, March 10th, from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service, at the funeral home. The burial will be Monday, March 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville, where full military honors will be rendered.

He was preceded in death by his brother Ricky Porter.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Margit Ramspott McKinzie; his son, Cedric McKinzie of Carrollton, Virginia; daughter, Shameka McKinzie Smith and son-in-law Anthony Smith of Sumrall, MS; brother, Ray Porter of Jackson, MS; two sisters, Vicky Sue Willis of Crystal Springs, MS and Stephanie Porter of Hazlehurst, MS; four grandchildren, Ga’ Brielle Larry, Amelia Smith, Ethan McKinzie, Kennedy Smith and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Military personnel will serve as pallbearers.
