Bryce "Doc" R. Smith

Bryce R. "Doc" Smith, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, December 2, 2019, at AHC Clarksvlle.

Bryce was born July 19, 1935, in Montgomery County, TN, to the late Herbert and LaRue Smith. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Smith, Wendell Smith, Charles Smith, and Gilbert Smith; two sisters, Margaret Ford and Ramona McDonald; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was the retired owner of R.B. Lester. He later worked for over 20 years at Jack Palmer, as a food salesman. Bryce was a US Army veteran and a member of New Providence United Methodist Church for 58 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, December 6, at 1:00 PM, at New Providence United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jodie McBryant officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 6, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the church.

Bryce is survived by his wife, Isolde Jakisch Smith; two sons, Charles Ray (Timi) Smith of Castle Rock, CO and Neil R. (Sonya) Smith of Alpharetta, GA; six grandchildren, Sydney, Lindy Ray, Chloe, Savannah, Chandler, and Dustin; and several nieces.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Providence United Methodist Church, 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksvlle, TN 37042; or the Clarksville-Montgomery County Humane Society, 940 Tennessee Avenue, Clarksville, TN 37040.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for the loving support of their closest friends, as well as the staff of AHC Clarksville.

In addition to his family, Bryce deeply loved and missed his dog, Oreo.
