Cathy Paulette (Perry) Sims

Cathy Paulette Sims, 61, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, at her residence.

Cathy was born on July 28, 1957, in Nashville, TN to the late George Hatton Perry and Dorothy Jewell Mackey Perry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Doug Sims; paternal grandparents, Slayton Perry and Mary Jane Proctor; maternal grandparents, William Thomas Mackey and Arbell Coke; and sister, Rebecca Ann Bailey.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of St. Bethlehem with Brother Jeff Burris officiating. Burial will be at Liverworth Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2018, from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and Sunday, October 7, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Cathy was a retired Nurse Practitioner with Premier Medical Group. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of St. Bethlehem.

Cathy is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Brandon) Averitte of Hendersonville, TN; two bonus sons, Eric (Michelle) Sims of Woodlawn, TN and Brandon (Anya) Sims of Clarksville, TN; two brothers, Bill (Susan) Perry of Hillsboro, TX and Ronnie (Stacy) Perry of Clarksville, TN; two sisters, Sherron (David) Buchanan of Gallatin, TN and Connie Demumbra of Clarksville, TN; and six granddaughters, London Averitte, Berkeley Averitte, Chloe Sims, Hailey Sims, Allison Sims, and Brooklyn Sims.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Shepherd, Jerry Allbert, Josh Perry, David Greer, Bobby Perry, Ron Kee, Marc Daniels, Charlie Duke, Otis Greene, and Horace Perry Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Betsy Hite, Heidi Yetton, Melanie Beck, Denise Milam, Becky Greer, Cheryl Dorwart, Emily Sykes, Mary Sitas, Donna Kee, Marjie Frost, Sandi Pigg, and Wendy Hart.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of AseraCare Hospice and caregiver, Mary Sitas, for the exceptional care given to Cathy.
