Charles "Chuck" Edwin Smith

Charles "Chuck" Edwin Smith, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Chuck was born July 10, 1936, in Pontiac, MI, to the late Glenn Smith and Anna Louise Spehar Smith. He was also preceded in death by his son, Eddie Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Weis Smith; two daughters, Trina and Janet; brother, Frank Grace; and several grandchildren.

Mr. Smith was retired from the US Army. He served 23 years and three months, with 15 years wearing a "Green Beret" with Special Forces. During his tenure he served three tours in Vietnam and retired in 1979 as a Command Sergeant Major. He was of the Catholic faith.

No public service is planned at this time.
