Claudia "Ann" (Clark) Marshbanks

Claudia "Ann" Marshbanks, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, May 23, 2022, at her residence.

Ann was born September 24, 1941, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Martin Clark and Mildred McCorkle Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Marshbanks; and one grandson, J.R. Knight.

Mrs. Marshbanks is survived by her son, Eddie (Lisa) Marshbanks; daughter, Rita Faye (Ricky) Knight; sister, Linda (Butch) Abernathy; five grandchildren, Justin Bryant, Rylee Ann Marshbanks, Brittany Weaver, Barbie Holder, and Kayla Knight; and seven great grandchildren.

Ann had an accomplished career in real estate, having retired as a real estate broker after 45 years and worked at Crye-Leike Realty for 20 years. She was Realtor of the Year in 1986 and 1996, and Business Woman of the Year in 1982 and 1994. Mrs. Marshbanks was the recipient of the Crye-Leike Circle of Excellence Award and Realtor Emeritus Award from the National Association of Realtors. She earned her Brokers License with GRI and CRS designations. Ann served her community with Clarksville Association of Realtors, Chamber of Commerce, United Way, co-founder of Clarksville Dream Factory and Camp Rainbow, and founder of Clarksville Christmas Lighting Contest, of which she was a part for 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 27, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Pat Van Dyke and Jimmy Terry officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, and Friday, May 27, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David Abernathy, Chris Abernathy, Kevin Weaver, Weston Weaver, Justin Bryant, and Ronnie Whitaker.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers for Ann the past few years. A special thank you is also extended to AseraCare Hospice, her wonderful neighbors, her two amazing caregivers - Diane and Felicia - for the past two and a half years, and to Connie Shepard, who was loved like a daughter by Ann.
