Curtis Ray Renfroe

Curtis Ray Renfroe, age 84, of Clarksville, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, at Tennessee State Veterans Home.

Curtis was born September 20, 1934, in Henderson County, TN, to the late William N. Renfroe and Willie Fowler Renfroe. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Rosco Renfroe of Westport, TN, Johnny Renfroe of Holladay, TN, Robbie Renfroe of Parsons, TN, and Clarence Renfroe of Parsons, TN; and one sister, Pauline Quinn of Parsons, TN.

Curtis was a US Army veteran, having served in the Korean War, and a contributor to the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served for many years as deputy sheriff, with the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department.

Interment will take place at a later date, in Parsons, TN.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Dixie Y. Johnson Renfroe of Clarksville; two daughters, Jennifer Y. (Steve) Edwards of Evansville, IN and Laurita (Greg) Gibson of Clarksville; two sisters, Alma Miller of East Peoria, IL and Voncille Oeverman of Holladay, TN; three grandchildren, Jimmy Clayton (Ginger) Collett of Parsons, TN, Danny Ray (Devin) Collett of Centerville, TN, and Clifton Gibson of Knoxville, TN; three great grandchildren, Codi Ray Collett, Cara Evon Collett, and Cleveland Clark Collett; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
