Dale Leonard Lowery

SGM Dale Leonard Lowery, age 79, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare.

Dale was born August 26, 1941, in Bernie, MO, to the late John Vaughn Lowery and Ellis Irene Perry Lowery. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Susanne Lowery; son, Dale L. "Pappy" Lowery, Jr.; two brothers, Ronald (Mary) Lowery and Donald Lowery; and one sister, Ramona Forkum.

Dale was a retired US Army veteran, having served for 30 years, including a tour in Vietnam. During his tenure, he received the following commendations: Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and Merritorious Unit Commendation.

A private family service will be held at a later date, with an interment at Resthaven.

Mr. Lowery is survived by two daughters, Loni Lowery Ward and Lisa Lowery; daughter-in-law, Wendy Lowery-Corns; one brother, Robert Lowery; one sister, Delores (Willie) Woods; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and dear friend, Yvette Hawkins.
