David Toon Sloan III

David Toon Sloan III, age 72 of Cunningham, died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. 

Mr. Sloan was born September 20, 1949 in Nashville to the late David Toon and Evelyn Mills Sloan, Jr. He was a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity and the NRA. He loved hunting fishing and playing golf. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Sloan.

He is survived by his wife, Judy McPeak of Cunningham; son, David Toon Sloan, IV and wife, Britni of Hohenwald; daughter, Shancy Sloan Bumpus and husband, Chad of Cunningham; and grandchildren, Kenneth Spears, Keali Sloan, Max Bumpus, David T. Sloan V, Henry James Sloan, and Ivy June Sloan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, November 13, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. John Mark Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, from 12:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
