Donald R. Houtkooper

Donald R. Houtkooper, age 77, of Clarksville, TN, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021, at Tennova Healthcare.

Don was born July 25, 1944, in Fargo, ND, to the late Richard Morton Houtkooper and Dorothy Joyce Robinson Houtkooper. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert M. Houtkooper.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Horton Houtkooper; two sons, Paul D. (Katie) Houtkooper and Scott (Angela) Gilbert; daughter, Lisa (Mike) Kleifgen; two brothers, Richard W. (Bette) Houtkooper and Wallace J. "Wuzzy" (Deb) Houtkooper; and six grandchildren, Jacob Kleifgen, Sarah Kleifgen, Casey Gilbert, Alex Gilbert, Madison Houtkooper, and Molly Houtkooper.

Don was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was an accountant and avid golfer, having achieved two holes in one. He was very competitive in everything he did.

In keeping with his wishes, no public service is planned.
