Drewey "Drew" Lavern Cook (US Army, Retired)

Drewey "Drew" Lavern Cook, age 91, of Clarksville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 9, 2020.

Drew was born May 9, 1929, in Dover, TN, to the late Ertle Cook and Minolia Lindsey Cook. He was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

He retired from the US Army as an E-6.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, November 18, at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 18, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. Committal service will be Thursday, November 19, at 12:30 PM, at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, in Nashville.

Drew is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bernice Cook; daughter, Lucille (Jerry) Hudson; two stepdaughters, Michele (Paul) Hardesty and Lisa Demonbreun; stepson, Barney Demonbreun; two brothers, Bruce Cook and Larry (Carolyn) Cook; and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 2000 Charlotte Avenue, Nashville, TN 37209.
