Duard Duane Wright

Duard Duane Wright, age 81 of Clarksville, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Tennova Healthcare.

Duard was born on August 24, 1940 to the late Arnel Emery Wright and Evelyn Maxine Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest (Sue) Wright, Clifford Dale (Karen) Wright; sisters, Doris Wright (Burl) Wolfe and Wanda Jean Wright (Gilbert) Trollinger.

He is survived by his wife, Caroline Margaret Lewis Wright of 62 years; daughter, Joyce Wright (Richard) Goodman; sons, James Duane (Jennifer) Wright, John Duane (Martha) Wright; grandchildren, Ashlea (Grady) Weekly, Whitney (Ryan) Stuart, Joshua (Danni) Goodman, Mallory Wright, Brent (Katherine) Wright; great grandchildren: Whitfield Dowling, Myra Weekly, Stratton Wright, Cora Weekly, Hattie Jo Weekly, Elsie Weekly and Brayden and Cailey Stuart. 

Duard was a proud U.S.Marine Corps and U.S. Army Veteran. He served our Nation for over 20 years and continued after his Military career in the Civil Service. He is a member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association and First Baptist Church since 1987 where he served as a (inactive) Deacon and at Little West Fork Baptist Church.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ronnie Raines and Dr. Roger Freeman officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday, January 24, 2022, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service at First Baptist Church. Military Honors will be rendered graveside at Greenwood Cemetery.
