Elsie Mae Goolsby

Elsie Mae Goolsby, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Tennova Healthcare.

Elsie was born February 22, 1931, in Midnight, MS, to the late Sam Green and Ethel Green. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Eugene Goolsby; and two daughters, Sarah Colby and Susie Goolsby.

Mrs. Goolsby is survived by her son, Carl Eugene (Beth) Goolsby; two daughters, Patricia (David) Alicea and Martha Sanford; brother, James (Mary) Green; sister, Sadie (R.C.) Anderson; six grandchildren, Jeremy Sanford, April (Chris) Glover, Luis (Ashley) Alicea, Juelma Jane Carpenter, Nicole (Brandon) Ferrell, Christina (Tom) Stall, and Bobby Ball; and several great grandchildren.
Elsie was an operator for BellSouth and a member of First Assembly of God.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, June 21, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Betty Coghill officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday, June 20, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, June 21, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at cff.org; or American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
