Ethel Garriety Wright, 96, passed away on Saturday, September 9th at Spring Meadows Healthcare.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. James R. Hicks officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wright was born on October 17, 1920, in Clarksville, TN. She is survived by three step-children, David Wright (Patricia), Carolyn Patton (Richard), and Marilyn Hicks (James); six step-grandchildren; thirteen step-great grandchildren; and one step-great-great grandchild; and nieces, Carolyn Riggins and Judi Moore (Dennis). She was preceded in death by her parents, James Frank and Joanna Sugg Garriety; husband, Roy D. Wright; sisters, Dorothy Riggins and Frances Sanford; and uncle, O.B. Sugg.

Mrs. Wright retired from AT&T as District Chief Clerk with over 40 years service. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Telephone Pioneers of America, and a charter member of the Clarksville Altrusa Club.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Meadows Healthcare, 220 Highway 76, Clarksville, TN 37043.
