Gather Lee "Slick" Heflin, age 80, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at his residence. 

Slick was born October 31, 1936, in Woodlawn, TN, to the late Clovis Heflin and Eunice Austin Heflin. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Josephine Heflin; son, Marty Lee Heflin; three brothers, Herbert Wayne Heflin, William Paul Heflin, and Bob Heflin; one sister, Lucille Heflin; and one great grandson, Easton Griffin. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, June 16, at 2:30 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Danny Eads and Jimmy Dukes officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, June 16, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Slick is survived by his wife, Sara Wallace Heflin; two daughters, Patricia Shumate (Tommy Dailey) of Elkton, KY and Mary Ann (Marcus) Sartain of Clarksville; two sisters, Earline Proctor and Louise Gibbs, both of Clarksville; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. 

Pallbearers will be Kevin Heflin, Brad Heflin, Weston Sartain, Justin Griffin, Larry Gibbs, and Marcus Sartain.
