Ghoram "Meme" Underwood-Lee

On Tuesday September 3, 2019, Ghoram “Meme” Underwood-Lee, loving mother of three children, passed away at the age of 94.

Ghoram “Meme” was born April 13, 1925, to Pappy-Dossey and Mammy-Lou Underwood.

She and her husband, Morris Lee, raised three daughters, Carolyn Carson, Phyllis Wood and Rita Ferrell.

Meme defined the word “Love” and made an impact in the lives of everyone around her. She devoted her life to service of others as an in-home caregiver and her faith in God was ever present. We all have those loved ones in our families that set the standard, ours was Meme.

Meme was preceded in death by her Brother James Underwood and sister Naomi Trotter. She is survived by her three children, grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, all of whom she adored her time with and pictures of.

Meme will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 14, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery, in Cumberland Furnace, TN.
