Glendora "Tess" Charlotte Tessier

Glendora Charlotte Tessier died Wednesday, May 2, 2018, peacefully at her home, in Clarksville, TN.

Tess, as she was known by her friends and family, was born in Rutland, VT, on October 8, 1953, to Albert and Freda Tessier and grew up in Fair Haven, VT.  She graduated from Fair Haven Union High School in 1971 where she was an energetic participant in many high school activities including cheerleading, chorus, yearbook, and prom court.  She maintained strong connections with Vermont and her childhood friends.

Tess attended The University of Vermont (UVM), where she obtained her degree as a Registered Nurse.  She was a proud football cheerleader at UVM.  Subsequently, she worked as a Registered Nurse in St. Petersburg, FL.  She then was recruited by the hospital in Gillette, WY, where she met her future husband, Dr. Harry Creekmore.  Tess accompanied Dr. Creekmore to St. Louis, MO, where he resumed his medical training at Barnes Hospital.  They were married on June 17, 1983.  She and her husband moved to Rutland, VT, where their daughter, Tara Llewellyn Creekmore, was born in 1986.  Tess and her family moved to Clarksville in 1988.

As well as working as her husband's office manager, Tess was an accomplished sailor, enthusiastic gardener, and prolific seaside photographer.  She approached all her favorite activities with gusto and passion.  A stickler for details, Tess had a determination to make things beautiful including wood refinishing and painting. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19, at 4:00 PM, at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday, May 19, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.  She will be buried May 24, at Poultney Cemetery, in Poultney, VT, under the direction of Ducharme Funeral Home, of Castleton, VT. 

Tess is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dr. Harry Stone Creekmore; their daughter, Tara Llewellyn Creekmore; her longtime employee and “other daughter”, Monica Faust; and her two brothers, George Coltey of Tucson, AZ, and Richard Braley of Rutland, VT; and several nieces and nephews.  Glendora was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister, Joyce White.
