Gwain Lee Wilson

Our beloved mother, Gwain Lee Wilson, passed away from abundant life to eternal life on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was 83.

Gwain was born February 20, 1939, in San Diego, CA, to the late J.F. Branson and Virginia Duarte Branson. 

Our beautiful mother: what can we say, to know her was to love her and she was extremely kind & generous to her family and friends, including strangers she had met for the very first time. She was a resident of Clarksville, TN for nearly 55 years, she attended Clarksville High Scholl and graduated in 1957 and continued her education at Christian College graduating with an Art Degree and then furthered her educational path by receiving a nursing degree from Austin Peay State University.

Her devotion to her children and grandchildren was her constant focus and the center of her life. Earlier in life she was a very gifted artist who enjoyed painting, pottery and many other crafts and was always happy to enrich the lives of others through her artistical talent. She also enjoyed the outdoors and was a very competitive tennis player.  Later in life she loved to travel, especially if there was a beach and a sea breeze involved.

She is survived by two sons, Frank Todd (Candice) Wilson and Dan (Shelia) Wilson; daughter, Darci Lee Wilson; sister, Faustine (Ted) Settle; and four grandchildren, Morgan, Ava, Jack, and Vanders.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. John Mark Thomas officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.

A very special thanks to all the team members at Uffelman Estates for providing Gwain with wonderful care & companionship the last several years of her life.
