Hazel Sparks Irwin

Hazel Sparks Irwin, age 98, of Clarksville, TN passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at her home.

Hazel was born November 4, 1925, in Memphis, TN to the late Claude and Margaret Sparks.  Hazel is also preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Edward E. Irwin and oldest daughter and granddaughter.

Hazel is survived by her two sons, youngest daughter, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and her beloved mini aussie.

Hazel retired from Austin Peay State University after 21 years of service in the accounting department, last serving as the Director of Business Services.  Hazel was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Friends of the Library, the APSU Women’s Club, Clarksville Duplicate Bridge Club, and the Family Life Center Round Table/Hilldale Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 14th, 2024 at Noon at Trinity Episcopal Church with visitation beginning at 10:30 am
