Hilda "Hildy" Margaret (Madine) Woodhouse

Hilda "Hildy" Margaret Woodhouse, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021, at Walking Horse Meadows.

Hildy was born January 19, 1936, in Newark, NJ, to the late John Madine and Chrstine Vandenheuvel Madine. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Madine; sister, Christine Lawhorne; and stepdaughter, Melissa Woodhouse.

Hildy loved family, friends, and a good deal. If getting one was good, three were even better. Those who experienced Hildy's sharp wit and charm, and felt her love and care, knew she was one of a kind. One of Hildy's many professional accomplishments was serving as Director of Special Events at the National Institute of Health, until her retirement in 2006.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, April 22, at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will follow at Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

Hildy is survived by her husband, Barry "Woody" Woodhouse; three sons, John (James) Jasch-Young, Michael Young, and Paul (Dana) Young; daughter, Theresa (Andre) Corbin; five stepchildren, Michael B. (Dana) Woodhouse, Aaron (Candice) Woodhouse, Laura (Jessica) PaSquarelli, Sarah (Nathan) Smith, and Linda Woodhouse; one brother, Richard (Sharon) Madine; and grandson, Samuel Ellis.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Woodhouse, Andre Corbin, Michael Young, Paul Young, John Young, and Michael W. Woodhouse.

The family is grateful for the gracious care offered by the staff of Walking Horse Meadows and AseraCare Hospice.
