Huel "Sims" Riggins

Huel “Sims” Riggins Jr., age 80 of Clarksville passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at AHC of Clarksville.

Sims was born October 3, 1940 in Stewart County to the late Huel Sims Riggins Sr., and Nellie Simpson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Riggins; sister, Linda (Glenn) Bouressa; sister-in-law, Sandi (Mike) Frost and niece Elizabeth Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Norfleet Riggins; son, Brian Riggins; sister, Phyllis Smith; sister-in-law, Diane (Billy) Wilson; nephew, Dan (Christy) Frost, Tony Scarborough; grandnephews: Carson Frost, Colin Frost, Wes Scarborough and niece, Glenda (Chris) Bierman.

Sims was a Queen City Lodge 761 member.  He was a 1958 graduate of Stewart County High School, and he stayed close with these individuals through the years. He also was an avid sportsman and fisherman.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Van Dyke Officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brett Brock, Randy Reese, Billy Rougemount, Charlie Lieding and Dan Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Norfleet, Billy Wilson, Gary Cline, Pat Bagsby and Gary Wallace.
