James Henry Carter

James Henry Carter, age 100, of Clarksville, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at Jubilee House.
James was born October 10, 1922, in Williamson County to the late John Wesley Carter and Amanda Crouch.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Blanks; his brother, John Wesley Carter and sisters, Bernice Peacher and Margaret Grant.
Mr. Carter is survived by his son, Larry (Claudia) Carter; daughter Susie (Ronnie) Boyd; grandchildren, Andy (Carole) and Christopher (Stephanie) Carter, Betsy (Nick) Wilson: greatgrandchildren,  Austin and Brianna Wilson, Brayden Applewhite, McKenna Weathers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  
James attended Hilldale Baptist Church and had retired from his floor covering business.  
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Brother Paul Wrenn Officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:00- 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Andy Carter, Christopher Carter, Nick Wilson, Billy Cook, Brayden Applewhite and Barry Markin. 
The family extends their many thanks to the Jubilee House for their loving care and support.
