James "J.P." Paschal Davis

James “J.P.” Paschal Davis, age 83, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at his residence.

James was born April 10, 1938, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Horace Davis and Katherine Johnson Davis. Mr. Davis was born and raised in Clarksville, in the well-known Vinegar Bottom area. He also lived in Germantown, Tennessee while working in the field of aircraft maintenance and retired from Northwest Airlines and returned to his hometown in 1993. JP was deeply devoted to his wife Lucille and cared for his step-son, Bo as his own son. Mr. Davis was a long-time, active member of the Pardue Memorial Free Will Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran. He is survived by brother William Donald Davis, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by wife, Lucille Fuqua Bennett Davis, stepson James “Bo” Bennett, sister Dorothy Marie Mann, and sister, Wanda Sue Gattis.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 20, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 21, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Jason Bell and Pastor Louie Montoya officiating. Pallbearers will be members of the Pardue Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Stewart and Jakob Stewart.
