Jean Ethridge

Jean Ethridge, age 90, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Southern Hills Medical Center.

Jean was born January 23, 1931, in Clarksville, TN, to the late Elmer McGavic and Frances Whitlow McGavic. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ethridge. 

Mrs. Ethridge retired from BellSouth and attended Crieve Hall Church of Christ. She loved gardening, yardwork, flowers, and crossword puzzles.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 8, at 11:00 AM, at Greenwood Cemetery, with Rev. John Haines officiating. 

Jean is survived by three sons, William Lynn (Kim) Ethridge, David Joe (Sherri) Ethridge, and Edward Mark Ethridge; three siblings, Joann Smith, Larry (Barbara) McGavic, and Judy (Doug) Luttrell; brother-in-law, Gray Ethridge; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), 424 E. 92nd Street, New York, NY 10128-6804.
