Jimmy T. Roberts, 82, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at his home.
He was born February 7, 1936, to T.R. and Nora Baker Roberts in Conway, AR.
Jimmy was an avid reader, he enjoyed football, hunting, fishing, crossword puzzles, and sharing riddles and brain teasers with the grandchildren.
He was respected and admired by everyone who met him and he was first in line to help wherever needed.
Jimmy became a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church when he was 18 and served faithfully the rest of his life. He was an ordained Elder of the Waverly Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Clarksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces. He attended Austin Peay State University and North Carolina State University. He retired from TVA after 34 years in New Johnsonville, TN, where he met and married, for almost 53 years, the love of his life, Doris Forrester Roberts.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Peggy Roberts Courtney of Baton Rouge, LA; his sons, Jimmy R. Littleton of Witchita, KS and Tony A. Littleton of Waverly, TN.
Jimmy is survived by his wife; his son, David A. (Faye) Littleton; his grandson, Alan D. (Jacki) Littleton; his granddaughters, Patsy (Chad) Gagnon and Gwendolyn (Bill) Miles; six great grandchildren, Gage, Aidan, Georgia, Davin, Reagan, and Lucy Belle; his brother, Harry (Pam) Roberts of Rockwood, TN; and his niece.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at the Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. Steve Louder and Rev. Stewart Salyer officiating. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly, TN. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
