John "Papa" Robert Smith

John "Papa" Robert Smith, age 64, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

John was born October 31, 1956, in Nashville, TN, to the late William W. Smith, Sr. and Dora L. Pugh Smith. He was also preceded in death by one brother, William "Wesley" Smith, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Terry Smith. 

He was a painter and a US Army veteran.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, April 27, at 12:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Bro. Phillip Chambers officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, in Hopkinsville. Visitation will be Monday, April 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Tuesday, April 27, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.

John is survived by his wife, Bobbie Ann Smith; two sons, Danny Lee (Christy) Holt and Adam Tyler (Kirstie) Price; three daughters, Sabina Rochelle Smith (Greg) Allen, Loralee Noel Smith, and Lauren Paige Price; two brothers, James E. (Dorothy) Smith and David E. Smith; sister, Deborah Sweeney; five grandchildren, Trenton Bugg, Kingston Smith, Brody Allen, Aysia Smith, and Tyler Williams; the mother of his children, Leida Tackett; and his little buddy, Jax.

Pallbearers will be Adam Price, Danny Holt, Trent Bugg, Craig Sweeney, Jeremiah Hester, Kingston Smith, Brody Allen, and Jeff Bugg. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Williams and Jacob Deffendoll.
