Joyce "Meme" D. Damron

Joyce "Meme" D. Damron, age 74, of Clarksville, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare. 

Joyce was born October 9, 1943, in Cuba, KY, to the late Bryan McClain and Jessie Johnston McClain. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Travis Damron; son, Randy "Bird" Damron; and one grandson, Christopher Adkins. 

Joyce was a member of Slayden Baptist Church. She retired from the Acme Boot Company. She also worked at Ogles, C&M Supply, and Clarksville Travel. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 13, at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will follow at Slayden Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Joyce is survived by two daughters, Betsy (Mike) Sharp and Cindy Adkins, both of Clarksville; two sisters, Mary Lou Milby of Paducah, KY and Phyllis Parham of Clarksville; and one grandson, Matt Sharp. 

Pallbearers will be Brad Simmons, Jack Horton, Bob Hodges, Matt Sharp, Donald Greene, Lucian Greene, Derek Bumpus, and Brian Harvey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jr Cude and Ronnie Adkins.
