Julius Leroy Ammons, age 80 of Clarksville passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Tennova Health Care.
Julius was born January 26, 1941 in Natchitoches, LA to the late Ernest Ammons and Esther Buffer. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Altha Ruth Hinkle and his step-son, Darren Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Janet Ammons; son, JR (Susan) Ammons; daughter, Vicki (Danny) Furr; stepson, Jason (Joy) Roberts; grandchildren, Samantha (Ben) Koenig, Taylor Furr, Jackson Ammons, Julia Ammons; step grandchildren, Jonathan Roberts, Noah Roberts, Eli Roberts, Sam Roberts; great grandchildren, Ryleigh Koenig, Markus Atkins and Conor Atkins.
Mr. Ammons served in the United States Air Force for 20 years. He was a retired realtor with Coldwell Banker and Keller Williams. Julius loved his dogs and cats.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home in Clarksville, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Benton, AR on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 910 West Hazel Street, Benton AR 72015 at 12:00PM with Bro Eddie Kitchens officiating. Interment will be at Mount Harmony Cemetery in Traskwood, AR.
