Kenneth "Kenny" Earl Johnson, Jr., age 55, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones in Knoxville, TN.
Born in Augsburg, Germany, he was the son of Kenneth Johnson and Alma Johnson. He graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1986, where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Eta Tau Chapter.
Serving as a geologist in the State of Tennessee, Kenny operated his own environmental consulting firm, Professional Consulting & Development. For nearly 35 years, he worked to help preserve, protect, and repair local waters and lands, as well as educate others on how to best aid the needs of wildlife and their habitats.
A devoted conservationist and avid outdoorsman, he served as the chairman of the local chapter of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Amy Johnson, father Kenneth Johnson, and children Zachary and Hunter Johnson. He was preceded by his brother, Mark Johnson, and mother, Alma Johnson.
Close friends and family will gather for a graveside service on Wednesday, April 25, at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, at Edgewood Cemetery, in Knoxville.
