Laverne (Wright) Thomas

Laverne Wright Thomas, age  76, of Clarksville, passed away April 21, 2021 at her residence. Daughter of the late Willie Lee and late Emma Kyles Wright. She was born December 11, 1944 in Chambers County, Alabama. She grew up and was educated in Cleveland, Ohio Public Schools. She became a Licensed Cosmetologist and practiced beauty and hair care for many years in the United States and Germany until she retired. As a young adult, Laverne met and married the Love of her Life Mr. John Thomas. To the Union was born one Daughter, Keoni E. Thomas. They both preceded her in Death. Her Sister Georgia Mae Jennings also preceded her in death. Laverne leaves to cherish her memories her Brother Joseph Wright Cincinnati, Ohio, Sister Elizabeth Wright of Cleveland, Ohio, Wilson Jerdine (Step-Brother) of Nieces Lisa Wright and two Great Nieces of Cleveland, Ohio, three nieces Janice Todd, Tracy Jennings, Wendy Jennings of Lafayette, and Nephew Thomas Kyles of Lafayette, Alabama, Niece Ava Todd of Lafayette, Alabama and a host of nephews, cousins and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, April 30, 2021 @ 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. Ronny Berry officiating. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
