MAJ (Ret) Clayton Avery Griffith, age 69 of Clarksville, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital.
Clayton was born January 3, 1952 In Nuremberg, Germany to the late Norman Lee Griffith and Gertrude Hoffman. He is survived by his wife, Deborah A. Berry Griffith; sons: Patrick (Jenna) Malotte, Jeff (Cathie) Malotte, Karl (Shanta) Griffith, Robert Griffith, Paul (Jordan) Griffith; bonus son, Cole Boggs; brothers: Ernie Griffith, Henry Griffith; sister, Mona Danielson; grandchildren: Jessica (Matthew) Anderson, Joseph (Ashley) Griffith, Joshua (Ahram) Griffith, Karl Griffith Jr., Nyla Griffith, Jacob Griffith, Zoey Malotte, Riley Malotte, Amelia Griffith, Sawyer Griffith, Madelyn Malotte, Logan Malotte, Steven Malotte, Lucas Malotte; great grandchildren: Addalie Anderson, Paisley Anderson, Amber Griffith and Amora Griffith.
Clayton was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He retired from the U.S. Army and later retired from the Clarksville Sheriff’s Department.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jacob Dio officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home. Interment will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at 2:00 PM following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Patrick Malotte, Karl Griffith, Clayton Paul Griffith, Jeff Malotte, Robert Griffith, and Cole Boggs. Honorary Pallbearers will be Karl Griffith Jr., and Jacob Griffith.
