Margaret (Patch) Kimbrough

Margaret Patch Kimbrough, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at St. Thomas West Hospital. 

Margaret was born December 4, 1931, in Clarksville, TN, daughter of the late William G. and Margaret Trahern Patch. 

Margaret graduated from Clarksville High School, attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, MO and attended Vanderbilt University. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. 

Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her greatest treasure. She was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church and also an active contributor to numerous charities throughout the state of Tennessee. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son-in-law, John K. Hopson. 

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Ben S. Kimbrough; her two sons, Ben S. (Beverly) Kimbrough, Jr. and William P. (Betsy) Kimbrough; her only daughter, Martha K. Hopson; nine grandchildren, Price K. (Shannon) Hopson, John K. (Helen) Hopson, Jr., Landon B. (Taylor) Hopson, Emory H. (Nathan) Erwin, William P. (Michelle) Kimbrough, Josslyn H. Kimbrough, James B. Kimbrough, Candice K. (Richard) Blake, and Regan G. Kimbrough; sister, Billy G. Martin; and brother, Elwyn T. (Rubye) Patch. 

Pallbearers will be her nine grandchildren. 

The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 7, at 2:00 PM, at Trinity Episcopal Church, with The Rev. Dorothy Hartzog and The Rev. Meghan Holland officiating. Interment of Margaret's ashes in the church columbarium will take place at a later time. Visitation will be held with family and friends, at the church, on Wednesday, June 6, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, June 7, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
