Margaret Sexton Sumner, age 86, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Summit Medical Center. 

Margaret was born August 15, 1931, in Erin, TN, to the late Earl E. Sexton, Sr. and Annie Louise Atkins Sexton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Beale Sumner; and husband, Robert S. Feltner, the father of her children. 

Margaret was a wonderful, devoted mother, loved by everyone who knew her. She was a member of New Providence United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She loved her church and gained strength, courage, and comfort from the word of God. Mrs. Sumner retired as the Director of the Learning Resource Center at Austin Peay State University. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 24, at 11:00 AM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Rev. Cynthia Talley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, February 24, from 10:00 AM until the hour of service, at the funeral home. 

Margaret is survived by her son, Robert Earl (Joyce) Feltner of Wartrace, TN; four daughters, Kathy Graham of Hermitage, TN, Donna (David) Thompson of Hermitage, TN, Patricia Anne (Chip) Bourne of Clarksville, and Sandra (Jim) Bonano of Wesley Chapel, FL; brother, Earl Edward (Avis) Sexton, Jr. of Kodak, TN; sister, Ruth Seirp of Las Cruces, NM; three grandchildren, Charlsi Wallace, Rob Feltner, and Kayla Bonano; two great grandchildren, Sirius and Thomas Gourley. 

Memorial contributions may be made to New Providence United Methodist Church, 1317 Fort Campbell Boulevard, Clarksville, TN 37042.
